Mr McCLELLAND (Barton) (5.04 p.m.) —by leave—I move the opposition amendment on the title page:
Title, page 1 (line 5), omit “forensic procedures,”.
The reason I move this amendment is consistent with the points I have made in this debate—that it is appropriate for the forensic procedures provisions to be taken out of this bill to be dealt with in separate legislation. It would mean instant passage by the opposition and the government, and it is appropriate to do so in the national interest. That would be reflected in the title.
